Mast C.L.E.D. Agar is a non-inhibitory differential medium designed for the microbiological investigation of urinary tract infections. It allows for easy isolation, enumeration, and differentiation of urinary pathogens. The medium prevents Proteus spp. swarming due to its low electrolyte content and supports cystine-dependent coliform growth, ensuring accurate colony differentiation.

Directions for Use

1. Suspend 37.9 g of powder in 1 litre of distilled or deionized water (or as per sachet instructions).

2. Bring to a boil to dissolve completely.

3. Sterilize by autoclaving at 121°C (15 psi) for 15 minutes.

4. Mix thoroughly before pouring into sterile Petri dishes.
